City program: “Adaptive skiing for children with disabilities in high-mountain conditions” in November-December 2022.

We present to you our new rehabilitation program for children diagnosed with autism, mental retardation, developmental delay, general speech underdevelopment, mental retardation, Down syndrome, ADHD and other neurological diseases.

This is a patented and proven 10-day rehabilitation course for children from 3 to 25 years old, in which we use the cross-effect of hypoxic therapy in natural mountain conditions and adaptive sports.

The mechanism of the positive effect of hypoxic therapy is associated with the fact that in response to a decrease in the concentration of oxygen in the air, compensatory-adaptive reactions are activated in the human body - the reserve capabilities of the body at the cellular level, contributing to the restoration of structural disorders at all levels.

Based on joint research conducted by the RSE “Institute of Human and Animal Physiology” of the CS MES RK together with the family mountain resort “Pioneer,” a method of hypoxic therapy rehabilitation for children with autism spectrum disorders has been developed.
The rehabilitation course provides a pronounced and long-term positive effect, contributing to the improvement of the overall condition of children with various functional disorders of brain activity.

This method was first presented by Zhanat Karatay, the head of the research project, at the World and International Congress of Neurologists and Psychiatrists Neurocare 2021 in December 2021.

Thanks to this method, children with special needs experience improvements in speech, motor coordination, and posture control, as well as enhanced immunity and the body’s ability to recover and resist viruses and bacteria. Even after the first course, children show a renewed interest in life and begin to engage in the process of socialization.

The effect is achieved through adaptive alpine skiing and roller skating, as well as hypoxia — the activation of the body’s reserve mechanisms in high-altitude conditions.

We also offer anti-stress therapy for parents of children with special needs.

The program participant must be 4-25 years old, have a neurological diagnosis, and be accompanied by an accompanying person.

To participate in the program, the following documents are required:

01. Child's birth certificate + IIN if not indicated in the certificate

02. Certificate from the PMPK, or VKK, or polyclinic, with a neurological diagnosis (not older than one year)

03. Identity card of the accompanying person

04. Power of attorney to accompany a child and identification of the principal, if the accompanying person is not the child’s parent

05. Certificates of registration/residence permit in Almaty from egov.kz

I have been working with children diagnosed with autism since 2015, although my personal experience of rehabilitation can be considered to be from 2000, when I first learned that my son was “deaf”, and I was advised to take a sedative by specialists who, it seems, 20 years ago knew only a little more about autism than I did.

I have come a long way from being an ordinary parent who wanted to help their child to the author of the methods “Rehabilitation of children diagnosed with autism in natural conditions of mountain hypoxia”, “Adaptive skiing for children with special needs” and other methods of adaptation and social integration of children with special needs.At this point, more than 3,000 children have gone through all of our programs, we have a wealth of experience, participation in international conferences, and in 2021 I was invited to present a new rehabilitation method at the World International Congress “Neurocare 2021”, which was held in San Francisco, USA in December.

But I consider my willingness to share a scientifically proven method of rehabilitation the most important step!
