HISTORY OF "PIONEER" FAMILY MOUNTAIN RESORT

OUR HISTORY

The history of the family mountain resort "Pioneer" began in 2015, when Zhanat Karatay and her family bought an abandoned ski resort on the slopes of the Zailiyskiy Alatau.

But to really get into the idea of creating a resort, you need to get to know Zhanat better. Zhanat is a mother of five children. One of them was diagnosed with autism at the age of three, which shocked the entire Karatay family. But they did not give up and took up Alibek's development.

After years of study and family support, Alibek became an independent young man, received an education and continues to make progress in life.

The key role in Alibek's development was played by the inclusion of active sports in his life. His parents helped him learn to ride a bike, took him swimming, and by the age of 11 they had taught him to ski (although all of Zhanat Karatai's children have been skiing since they were three).

This success motivated Zhanat to help other families who faced a similar situation. She attended dozens of lectures, seminars, and talked with world-class specialists.

"Pioneer" is a quiet, peaceful place to relax with your family, go hiking and unwind.

The resort can be called a real asset of Almaty residents - it works without breaks. Over 7,000 people visit "Pioneer" per year, and over 1,000 children visit the children's camp.

The children's camp occupies a special place in the life of the resort, children come literally every season. And they always get a lot of new, bright emotions.

Kazakhstan is the ninth largest country. The climate here varies from very warm in the south to very harsh in the north, in many regions winter sports are simply impossible. But there is a ski resort "Pioneer", located in Almaty, where everyone can come and spend an unforgettable weekend with family and friends.

Our mission is to make skiing accessible to everyone without exception!

And it’s not just about the cost of ski resort tickets.

Accessibility is a very broad concept. We want as many people as possible to benefit from alpine skiing and snowboarding as a powerful tool for human development.

On the other hand, we always focus on the development of inclusive sports. Alpine skiing is extremely effective in activating the development of the human body, which means it is simply necessary for children with special needs.

We organize classes for such children and have developed our own patented method of their rehabilitation, which includes the synergy of two powerful methods - adaptive skating and hypoxic therapy. After all, here at altitude, a health-improving effect occurs in the thin air.

During residence at altitudes of 2,000 meters or more above sea level, cascading mechanisms of adaptation and improvement of the health of any person are launched.

And, of course, another aspect of accessibility is the opportunity to learn how to ski. That's why we have a staff of first-class instructors who are excellent teachers and will help you get on skis or a snowboard!
